The week was perfect with so many great friends to hang out with. Great food to eat. Great rocks to buy, sell and swap and awesome field trips for everyone to attend. I think for the first 19 years of the roundup, we have always had photos of the big meal on Saturday and everyone eating. This is the first year I did not think of getting any pics. I also want to thank the Shriner's for inviting us to their monthly breakfast that benefits the Shriner's hospital. I think most of us attended. Excellent food! Saturday afternoon, the rock trailer was looking pretty well picked over. No one loved the rocks in it anymore. That is, until I said they are free, then everybody loved them! Brenton went home with the biggest rock I brought. A 126 pound pet wood specimen from Alabama. Late night gem dealing on Saturday night. Dave had a flat of opals and sapphires that was getting a lot of interest, so he had an auction and sold them off. 20 years..... Let's go for 21! |
